SO i did it finally, my fingers are raw and gritty, ive got boogers made of soder in my nose. But the shure e4's have been... RECABLED!

So basically you dissasemble the earpeice including the small rubber washer and the metal "spacer/hold" ring, get a small screwdriver and where a crack is availible between the two peices of the iem, go as far back (away from the earpeice) as possible, line up the scredriver and pry open, flip it over, do it again, theres a tab in the back that holds the peices together. so try not to break it.

Pull out the whole IEM itself, desoder the connectors, and recable, the stock senneheiser cable for hd600's that terminate in 1/8th fit perfectly with the sleeving, but you can bore it out if you want higher quality wire.

it all snaps together, no regluing required but if you really want you can probably inject some hot glue in the cavity where the cable comes up but i found no real need to, and it allows me to recalbe AGAIN if i want.

Looks clean, if i can be bothered i can make it more thorough, and post pics of my results.

Just really tired now lol
