My buddy is looking for a great pair of portable buds that he doesn't have to worry about, but are up to par with the price. I know about buds, and he does too...but I think he's worried about them breaking or getting lost because he's pretty active. He likes a lot of bass, and some clarity...he knows good sound, so I'm trying to find the best deal for him. I recommended the sony EX51s....they worked for me for a while...until I upgraded...what does everyone think?

Also, he listens to metal, pop, and electronic.

Oh okay....what's so good about the PK3? How's the soundstage, bass, clarity.... I'm going to look at some reviews to find that stuff out, but if anyone has any input...ya know.

Also, do these things stay in ears easily (any of the PK series)? I personally have a problem with them because I have super small ears. (but they aren't for me)

Scratch that, I just talked to him about them...he's looking for pretty good isolation. I doubt these PK3s offer good isolation...or do they?

creative ep630
pretty much the same design and isolation as the sony ex51

Stretch the budget by about $7 and order a MylarOne x3 from Jaben.net. Just do a little searching on this site and you'll see how much people love them.

he could go cheap and pick up some jvc marshmallows and not worry about them. otherwise those creatives other folks have mentioned are supposed to be similar to the rather fun senn cx300s (which would probably meet his requirements).
