New Head-Fier
Good morning, I've used several generation of products and just cannot find that "best" balance of quality, simplicity, and capability.
On a budget of $500, I need a live broadcast headset that offers:
- Very high quality microphone clarity.
- "Ultra" noise cancellation of the surrounding environment. The AC noise and my daughters upstairs should not come through.
- High quality noise attenuation of some kind for the monitoring. Either/both active noise cancellation and isolation are ok.
- While still maintaining at least 7/10 monitoring earphones quality
- Comfortable to wear 10-12 hours a day
- Over the ear / closed / circumaural
- bonus if I don't need a pre-amp (although I do have one) to use with PC
It seems like an impossible list. Is it?
Today I use Sennheiser HMD 280-13 with a crappy TASCAM UH-7000. It's heavy, too sensitive, no/minimal NC on the mi, and even with the amp overall sound volume into the PC is "just ok". Prior attempts include
Microsoft's top end headset (****ty audio quality)
Plantronics Legend (bluetooth craps out at the worst times)
Separate IEM and condenser mic (too noisy, need a directional or ANC mic)
