Today I was driving down the street with my windows down and when I went to stop at a light this awful excuse for a car braked next to me and the most "rank" excuse the vagueness, noise came out. I coudnt get the noise out of my head for a while and Im hearing it now as I type this. I am just curious that when your mind reproduces the noise does it have any impact on your hearing. Im hearing that noise and I cant take it. I know some of you might think this question is stupid but just think about it for a minute. Its a little disturbing.

I find that you can usually remove the sound by taking a power drill to youre head (JUST KIDDING), im going to guess it was really loud i suggest listening to something constantly just basically cycling different sounds through youre head.

Its might be related to the similar problem when a silly, insipid (frequently bad) song gets stuck in your head - think about Sammy Davis Jr singing "Candyman". I agree with BoardC3 - get out the cans to drive away the bad memory!
