Since yesterday or so, I get DNS errors, when I try to access Head-Fi using IE 5. I suspected a temporary problem, but it stayed the same, so I tried a traceroute and a ping - which both worked. Tried my trusty old Nutscrape 4.51, then -> works! IE 5 still doesn't... Anyone else noticed anything similar? Seems rather strange...

Greetings from Munich!

I can't acccess it either with IE6, it times out and give me a "the page cannot be displayed" message. I'm using Mozilla right now and a free web proxy in order to be able to access head-fi. :/ Not sure if this is related and what the deal is.

I had the same problem last night and this morning. I tried looking it up in Yahoo and dropping into threads and that worked as did the forums. I imagine the main page has been corrupted somehow.

Yeah, just the front page. Luckily Highwaystar bailed me out and clued me into that fact. What a nice guy that Ken is.

Are you all having problems accessing the forums, too? Or just the main page (http://www.head-fi.org)?

Yes, the main page doesn't work. I also can't access the forums though (www4.head-fi.org/forums). It times out :/

I try the forums link you list Rizumu and it loads immediately. Strange

Indeed. It hasn't worked for a couple of weeks. It did this awhile ago but only for like two days. I think jude was looking into it but I'm not sure if he found out anything.

[/size]Rizumu,

Regarding access to the forums: if they're down for a lot of people (or everyone), I usually get a bunch of messages via e-mail and/or chat. I haven't received any lately (except for the issue about the main page).
