Hello and thank you for welcoming me
I have had these headphones for 11 years (Realistic PRO-60). They were excellent for what I used them for. Two days ago, the point of entry of the cord (left side) broke off. I tried to solder the 3 wires back to the connectors of the left driver, but every combination I tried was useless: I get sound but panning doesn't work (centered even when I pan the sound hard left or hard right on Winamp). I also tested the panning on my TV set to rule out the possibility that Winamp was playing tricks on me. Same result.
Anyway. I would appreciate it if anyone could direct me to a Web site where I can purchase 3-conductor (stereo) wire. I have no idea what the gauge of the wire must be (18,20,22?) nor whether the conductor inside each wire should be single/solid or threaded/bundled (excuse my limited technical vocabulary).
I performed so many tests that the cord of the headphones is no longer long enough for when/if I ever fix this problem.
Also, I cannot find any wiring diagram for headphones on the Internet. I appreciate your help.
Thanks a lot.
