I have a STAX 005A system, which includes the SRM-252A amplifier. I would like to try other STAX headphones and was wondering which other STAX headphones would be compatible with it (if any).

It will drive all Stax headphones with a 5 pin plug including the old electrets. It isn't a powerhouse so it will struggle with the SR-007 and 4070 but it will drive them.

Than a O2 or 4070? Significantly.

You can also use some of the older phones, such as the Lambda Pro, Signature and Nova Signature for a different sound then the current generation. It's not better or worse in absolute terms but different in many ways.
