I’ve been wondering about failure rate amongst Omega drivers so I decided to start a list. If anyone want to contribute PM me with serial number and whether it has Omega or 007 drivers. I’ll update as more info comes in.

I would love to own one with Omega prototype drivers if I could get it, but that’s besides the point, anyways, from what I recalled There are only 10 Omega with prototype drivers & up to 650 with production drivers of which the highest recorded number was 605 or 609 I can’t exactly remember, someone else could correct me on that last part.

Thanks....i do love my Omegas, after 28 years of ownership with no problems...cross my fingers here.
I am looking to explore another amp to add to the SRM T-1...perhaps Blue Hawai, although i would like to try the new Stax flagship amp, the T-8000

Well as soon as I get a new job going to see if I can pay for one in partial payments, though something tells me that someone else would reach it before I would.

It does sound nice and can get a good amp to run with it, during the time I pay it off.

I had thought that could be the case but it seemed odd for someone to misplace an important piece of the memorabilia and not be able to find it when they sold it. Not impossible though.

Mjolnir audio is selling an Omega with a replacement headband and a SR-009 box. Maybe they're the star crossed lovers.

I ended up hearing about the listing straight from a classifieds listing through one of the comments, though I haven’t asked him directly, but someone else did so should ask said person, though I haven’t asked him

I’d like to get this pair if I could, but knowing how things go, someone else will reach it before I do, since I currently don’t have a job due to me moving & as a result can’t pay it off.

Oh I thought you had more direct knowledge other than that listing. I’m interested in other unique Omega related items as well but decide to not pursue that one due to the fact that the drivers aren’t as they were when they left the Stax R&D lab.
