Stax reliability ?

I get the feeling here, and from my limited experience, that Stax products are very reliable. I do suspect however, that if there is trouble with the electronics, or the phones, they are so specialised they really need to go back to Japan for repair.

Would anyone like to comment on this ?

Stax are highly reliable, but not bulletproof.

They have repair facilities in Japan, the US, Germany, and I think the UK too. Of current production Stax equipment, only stuff bought in the US can be fixed in the US.
