This is my first post on this forum, I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and, ask a couple of questions.

Does anyone know where I can get a power transformer for a Stax SRM-1 MK2 ?
Does anyone know what the secondary voltages are on the SRM-1 MK2’s power transformer? I think the high voltage secondary is 230VAC CT and the low voltage secondary is 27VAC CT but I’m not sure.

Thanks.

I am pretty sure these are switchable internally between 100/110-220/240 volts, so you just need to do that and get an appropriate power cord.

He's talking about the secondary voltages and not the switchable primary so I'm guessing a burnt out trafo. I don't know the specs as Stax never marks the transformers but you should give your local distributor a call as Stax still services the SRM-1 Mk2 so they might have transformers in stock.

Yeah, I have a transformer with a shorted primary winding. I called my local dealer, he said "Uhhh, I don't think those are available anymore.” I get the feeling he didn’t want to bother with me.

I was hoping someone knew a place that stocks them, or, knew the specs. Hammond has a good selection of small power transformers, I’m sure I can get something to work.

Thanks for the reply’s.
