Usually when I make CDR copy of CDs I have (using computer CDR drive) they play perfect no problem but on rare occassion I will get a CDR that has a short burst of static pop sound.....when I first heard it I thought someone was knocking on my door with brass door knocker.

If I try to re-burn same CD the noise will appear in same general location, but not always exactly the same spot. Is this just some bad data on CD or is this intentionally put there to ruin CDR copies?

Anyway to remove it?

Try it on someone else's burner and see if you yield the same results.
Do you get checksum errors when converting it to .wav?
