ok, I am going to live a sort of nomadic lifestyle for a while, and thus had to get rid of my aperion audio speakers, receiver etc. I am trying to get into this headfi thing, because I love my music and can't carry a huge system in my backpack.

Here is what I have:
ibook
flac and apple loseless
grado sr60 for when I am at my comp.

So now the question is what should i get next. I am thinking of either a travel amp like the corda move, or new grados. which would i get the biggest improvement from?

I don't have personal experience with the SR60, but I've read here that it's really easy to drive, and therefore you would find minimal improvement.

Also, where do you plan on going?

New headphones will almost always give you the biggest change. Then source, then amplification (IMO). Each one is important, so you'll probably find yourself upgrading them all at some point.

The iBook's audio output isn't the worst thing ever, but you may find that you hear ground loop buzz when the laptop is plugged into the wall. This is pretty standard on laptops.

If you want to avoid that and get a better source and amplifier in the process, I highly suggest going with a USB or Firewire external audio interface (or DAC). For example, the E-MU 0404 USB.
