SRH 880 vs IE8

Which one sounds better? Just curious..

If you mean Shure SRH840, I currently have them over my head. And I currently have a pair of IE8 right next to me.

However, I cannot comment about anything right now since the burn-in period has only begun.

EDIT : to be frank, I can already tell you that the SRH840 have the "Shure coloration" : voices are slightly upfront, warm, weighted. Pretty much the opposite of the IE8 (voices are thinner, fairly lighter, airier).

To be honest, I thought they were pretty similar. The SRH840 I had was marginally better, but I ended up selling them because they simply weren't portable enough and I preferred my HD580 over the Shures.

Sometimes I regret selling them when I need isolation, but if you're looking for something different than the IE8s, I would look elsewhere.
