SR-71 and "Hornet" amps. What's the difference?

This has been discussed a few times, you should use the search function.

I will say that if your preferred music is Jazz or Classical I would choose the SR-71. It has a wider soundstage, it has a more balance presentation of the music (does not emphaisze the bass as much as the Hornet) and IMO it is clearer and more detailed than the Hornet "M".

On the other hand if you prefer rock you may want The Hornet "M" do to its punchier presentation.

I've read the product page and they seem pretty similar to me. The SR-71 is $25 more. Why would someone buy one and not the other?

also the SR-71 is a fair bit larger than the hornet

The Hornet can be recharged (while playing), uses one 9v and is a good deal smaller than the SR-71.

The SR-71 uses two 9v, cannot be charged and is larger than the Hornet.

The SR-71 is a dual-mono design and sounds sweeter than the Hornet. Read the amp review in my Sig, or search for the many reviews here for more info.
