sr-60 & 80 performance on slimx

just curious how if anyone has heard both or either one of these on slimx 550 or even slimx 400? and how they compare? do the 80s require an amp to sound better than the 60s?


and how weather resistant are grados?

i personally wouldn't trust them out in the rain. not sure about the 60 versus 80 issue though. word around the campfire is usually that they're about the same sq-wise until an amp is added to the equation. then the 80 pulls away. but that's just what i hear.

No open can (open being the operative phrase) is going to offer any kind of weather resistance... they're just not designed nor intended for that purpose.

I used to own a SlimX 350 back in the day, never tried it with the Grados, but it couldn't drive much without an amp...
