Hi
I am a bit of a novice and I just needed to know a couple of questions which are probally really basic
I have recently purchased the audioengine 5 powered speakers, I absolutely love them, but I also want to stop using my Ipod as a source and start streaming music wirelessly to them using lossless and the squeezebox 3 my questions are as follows
1) is there any loss in quality streaming wirelessly instead of using the ethernet connection? and is there a maximum distance from the router before signal strenght reduces?
2) What lossless format should I import my music library with and what program should I use?
3) does the squeezebox music player have to be running all the time? and is it a resources hog?
4) The only input on my audioengine 5 speakers is a 1/8" stereo mini jack, would I connect to the squeezebox using a 1/8" audio cable to the headphone out OR connect it to the RCA output on the squeezebox using a RCA to 1/8" cable and is there any difference in audio quality between using the RCA to 1/8" cable or a RCA to RCA cable which I can't do!
Thanks
