I have spent the last hour looking for Spritzer's mod thread for the 007A / Mk II and cant find it anywhere. I know it exists as I have seen it but didn't bookmark it.

Anyone got a link?

Thanks, that post has much of the info.

I will start digging though the 4 million pages in the Stax Thread again unless some happens to know where it is.

The SR-Ω and SR-007 designs are so completely different that it would be hard to pull off. A modded Mk2 is more forward then a Mk1 since Stax altered the drivers a bit but nothing like the SR-Ω. The chassis is also a large part of the Ω sound and that is rather different from the 007 design.

I have wondered this too. I think that the difference is in the stators, driver and earpad design. The chassis on the O2 seems superior in every way compared to the SR-Omega, from the arc assembly to the baffle. Has anyone completely swaped out the stator/drivers from the Omega into the O2 chassis? Although im not sure if thats possible.

Yep, spritzer had a modded 007 with Omega drivers (or was it the other way around?) that he sold about a month or two ago and liked very much.

The SR-Ω drivers will never fit in an SR-007 housing since they are 90mm across but it works the other way around. Stax even made sure that the 007 drivers were an easy drop in replacement even if they do take a bit of tweaking to get right.
