At the beginning of this month, The Verge reported that Spotify was creating and testing a new lossless music offering:

Subscribers were to be randomly offered a chance to give it a try.  Anybody here get a chance to try it out yet?  I used to subscribe to Tidal lossless, but their small library drove me to Spotify...which, until recently, had lower audio quality.  I would be all over this if the quality is similar or better than that offered by Tidal lossless.

I read a few things a couple of months ago regarding this. I'm hoping that it happens. Tidal is awful, and their library isn't even close to Spotify.
Seems that it's gone quiet since the beginning of April.
Fingers crossed!

I think after 4 years,, now in 2021 it will materialize, spotify hifi is coming and tidal now has more libraries of song. I wonder how the two would match up. I also wonder who has the better quality service on its 320kbps bit rate premium service. Was it spotify or tidal?
