I want to revisit an old HD but most of the music folders are simply .cue files and the complementary .ape or .flac stuff.

Is there a program I can use to automatically split the music files into individual track files? I'd die if I had to manually open, split and save them

I've been using CUETools for CUE splitting and management. But it requires you to open (or drag and drop) CUE files one at a time. It doesn't have a batch process option, unless the 2.0.4a version has added that.

Have you tried Foobar2000? Load all the CUE files in a playlist and convert to individual tracks. Foobar can split CUEs. I think you can do it in bulk by loading the CUEs in a playlist, I haven't tried it like that though myself.

CUETools is better.

Medieval is handy though as well. It has the ability to split at index marks which is very handy for some classical CDs.

A unique feature of CUETools is the ability to verify a CUE file against AccurateRip. A very neat feature. I used it to verify that my old CUE file archive rips were all good.
