Hey, I'm new to the forum and I would like to ask a question.
I'm currently interested in buying the Bowers and Wilkins 5" speakers (two of them) and the Peachtree Nova for my living room. Just for listening to music, nothing else. I want to ask you guys if they go well together? My budget is ~$4000 for the speakers and the Amp.

B&W speakers have a reputation for being difficult to drive. While B&W rates the CM8 as having a nominal impedance of 8 ohm, they also mention in their specs on their website that it can dip to a 3 ohm minimum. I have no idea whether or not the Nova is an optimum choice for that.

Since you are willing to put down a good chunk of change for the amplifier, you might want to ask in the AVS B&W speaker owners forum and see what they say is the best amp choice for your money. Might be a different amp would make the speakers perform better.
