there was a thread on wooden cones a while back, IIRC, they had been around fir quite awhile, just never popular because of the cost

I saw the speakers in the article this winter in japan and they do look very nice. I haven't heard the sound they produce since I wasn't paying too much attention to them, but I'll have to check them out next time.

I'm sure the executives will like it. hehe.

The vifa xt woofer sure is a nice woofer, but wood pulp is just a fancy way of saying paper.

It's actually thicker and different than coated paper though...you have to see it.

Well, yes, it's not like the normal paper of their other woofers, it's a thicker compressed pulp, but it's not "wood."
