Speaker amp with headphones?

Is it harmful to use headphones with speaker amp? I have sennheiser hd 598, i don't have to use the amp but I found it sounding better with it. I'm just not sure is it harmful to the headphone

No problem, if kept to normal listening levels.

If the speaker amp has a headphone output then the only issue is whether it has no distortion; you like the sound so let's just assume it's doing well enough.

If you ever plan on connecting headphones to the speaker taps of a speaker amp instead of a dedicated headphone output, it could be dangerous if done improperly. Here's my old thread on the topic that could be of use to some:
