I'm currently considering buying a new pre-amp for my audio system, and am thinking about trying a Spacetech unit, using 6sn7 tubes. The stock version comes with no line-out or tape loop for a head amp. The designer, Albert, could add in a tape-out for me. Or he could add in his headphone circuit and a jack so that the pre-amp would be usable as a head-amp.

Has anyone here had any experience with Spacetech head-amps? Or even better, any experience with the head-amp circuit that Albert adds to his pre-amps?

Thanks for any insights you can provide.

Chad

I have had this one for atleast a year ..... nice amp. But, with the USD crash this amp isnt the best value anymore. Moreover, despite being transformer coupled I get hum with anything but higher (>100 ohm) headphones.

Yeah, that is the one I was looking at! But I don't need an expensive amp that hums with headphones of less than 100 ohms, which actually represents the majority of my headphones (basically all of them except my DT990/600...)

Thanks sacd lover, you just saved me some money
