I found the Sony SP700N refurbished for $79. These seemed to have mixed reviews, that being said those are from the full msrp of about 170. Is this a steal or is it too good to be true? They are listed on Newegg and amazon. I will be using these at school, and for mountain biking. Thanks for the imput.

Can't speak for the earbuds themselves, but if you are speaking of the retailer Secondipity which is offering the certified refurbished ones on Amazon, they are a reputable seller. I've purchased multiple items from their website as well as their ebay store.
