I'm trying to find some large aluminum knobs..the Kilo ones sold at digikey are nice, but only come at a max 0.925" diameter. I'm trying to find some big ones with a diameter of more like 1.5-2"...know a good place to look?

Check out DACT (Danish Audio Connect). They make gorgeous stainless steel knobs in the following sizes: 1.0", 1.25", 1.50" and 2.0". The main site for DACT is at http://www.dact.com. The US Distributor is Aloha Audio, at http://www.aloha-audio.com. Last time I checked, Hiroshi at Aloha had some knobs with special finishes, too. But just be warned--the larger knobs are *heavy*, and this line is made to fit 6mm shafts, so the holes will be a little bit too small for standard 1/4" pots. Some of the better attenuators, such as those from DACT, come in the 6mm size.

Too bad you don't live in Singapore and it's not worth shipping to send you a knob.

I've found really big (1.5" - 2") & nice knobs over here. I currently have one black plastic knob that has a hole for LED to shine through! (Think of the OBH-11SE knob but with a hole for LED)
Also found various aluminium and gold plated knobs from the same shop.
