Soundwell B503 - a 50kOhm Bx6 (eg. with six paths) and a RF-330TA 09550 motor is used in Genius SW-5.1 Home Threather speakers and it is known to not "sound well", but to fail after some time.
Usually is observed that some channels (right, left...) get silent into some ange(s) of the potenciometer first, then later more channels come to have the very same problem. It looks like this way:

And I do wonder, if anyone know a suitable replacement - perhaps with higher quality too

Google search for "Soundwell B503" give only 3 result, while the topmost is a Czech forum where guys are talking about the very same issues with no solution or replacement found.
Yet one of them find out that these problems are usually solvable with diassembling of it and cleaning the paths/sliders, however I have to admit that I'm a bit scared to try it, because if I screw up, then I end up with no audio at all

Another good question is, if is not possible to have there some sort of electronic circuit that generate the six 0 - 50kOhms resistances with quality and based on some quality yet single potenciometer - that could be also driven by the motor

I don't think it would be a drop-in replacement, but this might work:

ALPS 6-gang motorized Potentiometer RK16816MG 10K Pot - eBay (item 260236961009 end time May-14-08 01:17:46 PDT)

It doesn't look like the pins would line up, but you could solder jumper wires to the PCB and then to the pins on the ALPS pot. I don't know if the motors would match up, but it's worth a try.

I know the listed pot is 10k, but you should contact that seller about a 50k version - he seems to have access to a lot of ALPS goods.
