Currently I'm deciding which one of the two to get. The reasons I'm thinking of the Soundsticks is that I use an iBook and it would definitely go well with the speakers aesthetically.

And also, I might not even be able to notice the difference in the sound quality between that and the Klipsch 2.1's which are very highly recommended in these forums.

So, I'd like to know if there is really a world of difference between the Klipsch and the Soundsticks that I would definitely want to pick the Klipsch and sacrifice the aesthetic appeal of having the soundsticks.

If however the quality difference is not that great then I could live with that and have the cool looking speakers.

So I need your help guys, especially from those who own or have tested both extensively.

You really need to listen to them yourself, since everyone's preferences are different.

Personally, I was totally underwhelmed with the Klipsch 2.1. I found the mids nonexistant and the highs tinny. However, the bass was amazing (slightly boomy). Great speakers for multimedia use, but too unbalanced for music, IMHO. However, I think I'm in the minority on this, since a lot of people seem to like the sound of the Klipsch.

I haven't heard the Soundsticks, but you're probably paying quite a bit for the asthetics alone.
