I am looking for a soundcard that works well for both music and games. For gaming, I need a soundcard that can help with positional audio. I read on the Nameless guide that X-Fi soundcards are the only ones with true three dimensional positionality. Do other soundcard chipsets work as well? I am using the AD700 as my headphone and play CSGO as my primary FPS.

Might also try asking here on this Sound Blaster forum about the older  X-Fi verses the newer Z series sound cards.

I would say to just get a Sound Blaster Z sound card and plug the headphones straight into it.
