Anyone using a computer or a portable DAP to a quality DAC should check out the Soundaware D-100pro
I can not recommend it as a sever as I don't use it that way and people have said it has it's issues
As a desktop DAP it is phenomenal !!
It accepts an SD card and 2 USB thumb drives 128MB max for each
It does DSD 24/192 and any format I have thrown at it
It has a digital out which is impossible to find in music servers/desktop DAPS
It sounds better than any CD player I've had in my system
It completely smokes my Plenue S DAP when connected to my MSB DAC
It costs around 1K but it is by far the best value of any audio product I own
I am still burning it in but its resolution and overall sound is an easy recommendation as a Desk top DAP
Its screen is only B&W but its easy to read and operate within 10 feet by remote
There is no album art but the sound is the magic here
