hi i have been away from headphones new a while:p
wondering if there is any headphones out there with similar sound to hifiman he500 that it not heavy? i love the sound of it but its to heavy for my head.

And also im wondering if the earcup of hd650, hd600 and hd580 are exactly the same? for example if i put a hd650 driver in hd600 or hd580 it will be the exactly sound of the hd650?  and does all those headphone weight the same ?

I believe the HD580/HD600/HD650 can use the same 300-Ohm drivers.
But i would assume the design of the headphone cups effect the sound.

I've heard the Philips Fidelio X2 recently that has a similar sound signature to the HD600/650's and HE-500's (minus the high frequency extension of the HE-500's).  They have a fun, laid back sound that is pleasant with many genres.  At 380g they are considerably lighter than the >500g HE-500's.  There's a pretty good discussion going here:  http://www.head-fi.org/t/729413/philips-fidelio-x2-a-review-by-baycode
