the portapro and sportapro (portapro jr) both used the same drivers but in different housings so they did not sound the same,some actualla prefer the sportapro/portapro Jr.
if the portapro 2 also uses the same drivers ( and this I do not know) it should sound the same as the original
From what i can tell the only real difference is the less sophisticated headband and maybe not as bulletproof as the original
