Hey everyone, I am looking for a 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround sound card for my desktop! I have a Skullcandy Plyr1 so it does its own Dolby Headphone. The soundcard HAS to have a toslink optical out to connect to my skullcandy plyr1 dock. I am quite happy with this headset and I am looking for a great sounding dolby digital 7.1 experience while not spending money on anything extra. Thanks!

Some motherboards come with DDL included.

There is the Asus Xonar DX (PCI-E) or D1 (PCI) sound card, used $60.
It comes with DDL (Dolby Digital live) for sending compressed audio thru it's S/PDIF optical output.
You can also have the Xonar DX/D1 process the Dolby Headphone itself and then send that thru the Plyr1, to the SkullCandy headphones, the Plyr1 would not have to really process anything (besides it's DAC), just pass the signal to the headphones.

My mobo has the ALC892 Codec so I don't think it does. Is there a card without the Dolby Headphone cause i don't really wanna pay for it twice :P thnx!

You could try downloading and installing the latest Realtek drivers, R.273, see if they include DDL.
