Alright, Ive been using my Grado 325i for a while...but Ive mainly been using my stock sound card on my PC...the one onboard.

My mother board is a A8N-SLI Premium.

And I was wondering if its worth the money to upgrade to a modified X-fi Platinum (only plat cause of the front bay). Or should I just get a old Audigy Platinum.

I know I have to get something, but for $40 is the Audigy a good deal? or should I save up for the Audigy Platinum?

Or if there are any other sound cards for sale here or elsewhere, that have a Front 5.25 bay, please suggest them

Thanks.

too late...I already called the guy....its only $40 so its still a waste of money...but that will satisfy my craving untill I am ready to drop $200+ on a modded x-fi, and you can modify the audigys anyways.

besides...the Audigy Platinum is probally at least 10 times better than my crappy on board sound...from my motherboard.

maybe it is..in my opinion if you needed a card with that front thingy and have a tight budget, the "best" option was the hercules gtxp 5.1 and 6.1 version (even the 7.1 would be fine,it uses a inferior chip, but I had the fortissimo 3 with that chip and I loved the thing).
For games it can't be as good as the audigy, but for music is better =)
It even has vista drivers :p
