a chaintech would serve you better...at a cost of about $25 from newegg. it would not serve your gaming as well...you could use both. the grado sr80 works very well through my audigy 2 however.

Actually, I would stay away from an AV712 unless you plan on purchasing an amp too. The AV710/EMU cards only have a line out, not a true headphone out.. I'd say stick with the Audigy, and use the KS drivers (unless you need EAX effects) till you can save up enough for a good card+amp. Just IMO..
