New to the world of trying to improve sound, and have a pair of HiFi Man HE 400s, and an entry level Marantz CD Player. I don't have an amp specific for headphones, the CD player is connected to a Yamaha receiver, which serves as an amp. Only listen to cd's, would a DAC make a big improvement? How much of an improvement will there be if using an amp that's designed for headphones? I'm happy with the sound, but wonder how much sound quality I'm missing. Thanks for any input

Seeing as how my original post generated so much buzz, here's an update:
I decided to go with the Lyr, and a huge improvement it is. Wow, and this with the stock tubes- Telefunken E88CC will hopefully be here in a couple days.
