welcome to head-fi, we love hearing the words "price is not important".

(non standard greeting around here). blockhead + rs-1 sounds about right.

i've read this thread at least 6 different times and i still do not understand the question.

are you saying that the amp doesn't make them loud enough, or that you want something that sounds louder?

you might want to do a search for the "impedance" thread. efficency is not all that correlated to impedance. other searches you might want to search for is "synergy".

otherwise you might just want to get low impednace headphones. just be aware that a low impedance does not guarantee a pleasing sound. if you want to go for broke, get the CD3000. it is low impedance, high efficency, closed.

Wallijonn, what I got out of it was that he was looking for something with the most dynamics. I don't know if by power he meant volume or not. If he meant dynamics, I also reccomend Grado. I don't know how to answer his question if he meant sheer volume.

Have any of you recommending the RS-1 here heard one?

Hello flashedbrain. In terms of 'brute force' some of the Grados don't deliver as much as others. The RS-1's are dynamically alive (a good thing) but I can't call them forceful.

What I'm presuming you want is a sound with punch behind it. I can recommend the Beyer DT770 Pro. I don't know your amp, but the DT770 requires good amplification, even if you're not amping for the bass. The best bet perhaps is to try these first with your current set-up and see how you get on. If you're looking for a more sustained feeling of power without a ear pounding experience, the Sony CD3000 doesn't deliver punch but it can convey a sense of rolling power (think Wagner) very well.

i haven't heard an rs-1 but thar's why i reccomended a blockhead behind it. i mean. if that doesn't work, i don't know what else would.
