So sony updated their MP3 line finally. What do people think?

A - Series (not to be confused with japanese A series which in my opinion is superior)

Not to say that Sony's NA lineup looks anything but unspectacular, but how exactly do you know that all of those are better.

Better in what way?  Sound, function, UI, build?  Have you played and tested all of them out, including the new Sonys?  Did Sony fedex a review unit to you to check out, how did it fail your requirements?

EVERY mp3 player of this caliber should have a microSD/SD slot IMO, memory expansion is an absolute must nowadays, I mean, even iPod would sell more if they had it somehow - Without ruining the look of the player ofcourse!

Besides from that, they do look very sleek, never tried a Sony myself, might just stick with my J3, Clip+ and an Fiio X3 when it's released

Just overall better players. More space better features. I dont know the SQ of the new sonys so I dont know about the SQ but i highly doubt the SQ will be better than the X series from 2009 or 2010 whatever it was

just picked up a slightly used E344 & its an improvement over my older S616 - bass seems tighter & is slightly less warm (or more neutral) overall. with +1 clear bass, the E344 makes an awesome pairing with my 4yr old Livewire dual customs. not quite as good as my recabled K702 desktop rig but im not missing much either. the E344>livewires is now my goto super porty rig

I assume Sony has reached to this point that X series were way to expensive as a DAP
A smart phone that does near anything with an acceptable sound can be bought with 200$, So it won't make any sense for a Brand like Sony to renew such product

Sony just hates north america

but maybe they are putting all thier oled manufacturing capability to the new 5" AMOLED psp vita so thats why no oled players from them right now.
