Recable it? I have my 2 Bgvp cables that I use with the z5. They work great. The linsoul cable on Amazon though (yellow one) seems to have the beat sound though. The link above from a couole fays ago is a 4.4 veraion of that same cable. I didnt get that one yet.

You should be happy with the N3 while on the go as that's what I use with my ZX-300 most of the time. The sound is close to the Z5 and you most likely won't be able to tell the difference with all the ambient noise.

As you have owned the Z5 before the N3 might be more to your liking - I tried the M7 many times when I was looking for a replacement for my Z5 but I just didn't like the BA bass.

The difference between a pure BA bass vs a a Diaphragm is the volume of air movement. So your inner ear tissue does not feel the same physical sensation from a BA vs a dynamic driver at the same frequency intensity.

I'm not the best at describing what I hear.
I wanted to like the M7, it was an awesome fit, very comfortable. Yes, Sony seems to have changed their sound to a more balanced sound instead of bass focused. The M7 definitely had a decent amount of bass, but I can only assume that my ears are tuned to dynamic bass and it just wasn't right for me, it just seems it was missing something, that's the only way I can describe it sorry.

Initial impressions on Z5, n3, e5000. N3 isolates great. Sound is very similar but it is symblant in comparison. Z5 has more finesse at the top. N3 is more comfortable and sounds very simialr otherwise when EQ applied to both. The z5 has more boom to it, but n3 holds its own.

Final e5000 doesn't have thr same level of clarity. Needs further testing, but I would take either sony at this point.

Yeah, after mire time, the N3 isolates way better. Comfort is aviut thr same, but the Z5 is a vit mote dynamic. Not a lot, but slightly more. If the N3 is yout only optionnor you want aomething that works better on the go, its a nice option.

I would not bother with thr e5000.

I'm curious about a8, but it's a BA right? I have tended not to like those. Hope they will be at RMAF. Liking the n3 mote and more. It may replace the z5 based on isolation value. Not sure yet. Have not tried it balanced yet either.
