Dear Headfiers,

Want to purchase the Sony zx507 dap and to use it with 64 Audio U12t. I'll mostly use Amazon Music HD along with stored flac files.

How does it sound ? Does it matches good with U12t. I would really appreciate if you share your experiences.

I think it sounds amazing.

(With my Empire Ears Nemesis iems)

I run Qobuz but Amazon Music and Tidal both work great on it also. I expect Spotify HiFi will run seamlessly when that’s released also.

However, battery life is VERY poor. So you have to honestly consider how long you really expect it to play for before attaching it to power again.

I don’t mind so much - because it’s so light, small & cute!

it sounds - GIANT and most of the other “brick” sized DAPs (that would totally ruin the look of a light Spring Jacket) - ALL seem to suffer one drama after another running the main streaming apps. So I forgive its battery life.

(yes I have done all the dev app tweaks to increase battery life)

I agree, it sounds bigger than it looks. Great dap with below average battery life. Then again, I get 6-8 hours out of it and never listen that long in a stretch, so no real issues for me.

I also really like the EQ and other filters on it. I don’t EQ any of my other gear, but the zx-507 sounds even better to me with a few tweaks here and there.

I don’t have the u12t, but all of my IEMs sound great through it, so I’m sure it’ll be fine.

Yeah I use a lick of eq on mine too. The eq is very classy sounding, agreed

Thank you all for posting. Did you guys tried it with 64 audio u12t or any other 64 audio iems. Also did you tried Amazon Music HD, someone in forum posted it's very slow and has problems with Amazon Music HD, I wonder that might got fixed after firmware update. Yes it is super cute and not like other daps in market.

Worked fine with Amazon HD.

i just prefer Qobuz as I use Roon on my Hifi (Amazon HD not integrated)

If used primarily for streaming, I wouldn't consider an app without EQ. Tidal sound is not the best. Having the option the get the flavour you are craving is a must for me
