Does anyone have any pointers? cheers

Take a look to Fiio cables. I've read good reviews and feedback about their quality/price ratio.

For those who want to know, how are my reshelled N3s sound like.
Here's a Frequency Response after they were reshelled.

The problem is that is not sub 200 dollars.... I can't find it less than 265€ + shipping. I'm still in doubt between N3AP and the new Dunu DK-2001.
If you have a link to buy the N3AP for less than 200 dollars it would be great!

Has anyone tried the M7 or M9 stock cables with the N3? Do the mmcx connectors fit nicely.

I bought the N3 used for only 100 dollars, housing only without any accessorries. Still happy listening to it every day

Given that you're still at the deciding stage between the N3AP and the DK2001, what I will say is that I've had multiple IEMs from various respected manufacturers. Some cost more than the N3, some cost a bit less, but the only IEMs I actually listen to are the N3s - everything else is effectively retired. I also have no desire to search further as the N3 is the only IEM I've found so far has the tonality that suits my ears. I've heard relatively high end stuff from Shure, Campfire, Noble, and Audeze, and while those certainly do better the N3 in certain departments none of them provides the cohesive whole that I find the N3 delivers.

I'm not shilling, I'm going by what my ears tell me. However your ears and tastes may well be different, so while I do recommend the N3s I do so with caution as the bass, while clean, is accentuated a bit, and that's not to everybody's taste.

Many thanks for your advice. What kind of music do you listen?

I listen to a lot of EDM, D&B mostly from that genre, but also a lot of alternative stuff - too varied to place it into genres. And I do classical a lot.

One thing to bear in mind is that I am quite reticent about giving any headphone an absolute recommendation as I'm fully aware that everybody's tastes differ, and I personally have been burnt by following the herd on the latest must haves.

Another thing to bear in mind is that I only listen to IEMs when outside and on the go. Outside there is a lot of ambient noise, especially in the bass frequencies, where I find that the N3's bass overcomes that almost to perfection, but the bass may be a bit overpowering in a quiet environment.

Hope that helps.
