I just recently purchased this used player about a week ago with the plan of getting into sacds. It's been playing redbook cds just fine but, I just bought 2 sacds last night and the player doesn't want to recognize them.
My setup:
SACD player>analog front l/r outputs>cd analog l/r inputs>Pioneer AVR>headphones
The sacds:
Pink Floyd-DSOTM 30th Annv. -SACD/CD Hybrid St/Mch
Diana Krall-The Girl in the Other Room -SACD/CD Hybrid St/Mch
I've read the manual and done as it instructed. Push the menu button, rotated the AMS knob for layer selection, selected sacd, rotated the knob again for channel selection, selected 2 channel, exited. Also when I push the SACD/CD button the displays shows (NOT HYBRID) and when I push the MULTI/2CH button the displays shows (NOT IN USE).
The sacds are playing, I do get music out of my amp. I have no idea if they are playing in sacd or cd mode because my display isn't showing them being in sacd mode. I have no speakers hooked to the amp so, I can't use that method to test playback. If anyone has any experience with this player your help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx, John
