Well, if FINALLY got here. Haven't listened to redbook cds yet, just sacds, and I gotta say, the sacds sound better on this than they did on the 333. I'm thinkin' something may have been wrong with it though, other than the door.

The 333 also seemed soft volume wise. Kinda weird... Anyway, I'm gonna let this burn in for quite a while before I really make any more comments, but I think I'll be very happy with it

Flumpus: I too have a 555es and just bought HD-600 headphones. Using the headphone output of the 555es only, the HD600s sound fantastic and I can't imagine going any louder with the vol at less than halfway.
How much of a performance boost, if any, would I see by adding a headphone amp (like the MG Head OTL) to my setup? How would adding the amp change what I hear? Is that increase in performance(if any) worth the additional $330 cost for the amp?
Thanks for your help!

merc, well, the HD600s are demanding headphones, so they may get loud, but not sound up to their potential. I actually haven't listened to the headphone jack on the 555, but I'll try it out and see how it is. I imagine something like a MG Head OTL would get alot more out of your HD600s, but I'll try it out and let ya know.
