Are these really that good? I want them for the fact that I've read many positive reviews, and the fact that they used to be $700. I have heard they are even better balanced, so maybe I could use them with an Ibasso Toucan? A headphone meet is coming up in my area, so should I buy these headphones because they are so good and revealing and would help me to hear differences in gear?

Bought one even though the international price was US $235...still way cheaper than buying them locally...

Coming from experience (listening to the SA5000 right now), they are undoubtedly the most detailed and crisp headphone I've heard (and several other head-fier's agree with me).  However, the SA5000 achieves such clarity through a unique sound colouration that provides a cold, sterile and slightly treble-heavy listen.  The detail and cold sterility might be too much for some.

I bought mine because I listen to alot of electronica where instrument timbre isn't all that important and the SA5000 came highly recommended.  I would buy them again in a heart beat for $200.

$200 is a really good price for these. I have a pair and also really enjoy them for electronica. This price almost makes me want to buy another pair.

How did you buy internationally? Their page doesn't show international shipping

My wallet hates you.

Anyway well it looks like they're out at $200 but I did manage to get one for $225. Looks like I'm going to have to thin the herd sooner than I expected.

They go for 195$ on buy.com...really nice price drop, wish my wallet could reach it.

Yeah Amazon doesn't ship outside of the US but I saw the deal was from Ritz Camera, so I ordered direct from them
