I saw someone on the train wearing an interesting looking pair of Sony phones. Maybe they were eggos. They kind of looked like how I imagine eggos looking, having only seen a few pictures here and there.

Let's see... The cups were oval shaped, they had a headband that was split along the middle. The most interesting feature was a very large hinge between the headband and the right ear cup -- it was only on the right and was quite huge, the size of door hinge almost! There was also a red light on the right ear cup, suggesting an active noise cancelling circuit, perhaps...

Any idea what they were?

They were probably the MDR-NC20. Rest assured that any headphone in your collection right now sounds better then it.

The NC10s are buds, though, right? These were full size, circumaural cans.

Sorry, I mean the NC20s. I shouldn't try to type with only 4 hours of sleep.

Yep, that's them. I think you type pretty well for 4 hours of sleep.

I just liked the giant hinge on them. I'll keep the Etys though!
