According to a Google search you are looking for closed headphones at $20?

I'm guessing neither of those models sound any good, as no closed headphone at $20 sounds good.

Well, I looked them up and you listed FactoryDirect code names for the two. The two you are really considering are the Sony MDR-V150 and an unknown Panasonic. Considering you are willing to spend $50, I would go with neither.

At $50 I recommend the Sennheiser HD205 and eH250. The HD205 have good, punchy bass and clean highs while the eH250 do better in mids. Both are fairly comfortable and isolate fairly well. If you don't mind dishing out other $10-$20 more, there's the beyerdynamic DT231, AKG K81DJ and Sony V6 as well to choose from.

i've read some cnet reviews on the one's i'm "considering" (MDR V150 and RPHT227), and they seem like 'ok' pair, so i took a small glance at the eh150's, and they seem better for the price i'll b payen. i'll b using them for music, gaming, movies, etc. right choice?

hahahaha, yah i am. still got them and still usin them. but i'm lookin for something that can block out noises a bit better. the KSC75's u can hear evrthything around you + music, which is good cuz i use this for class so i can hear the teacher. but when i study in the loud library, or walken downtown or whatever, i tend to go to earbuds cuz they block out more sound then the KSC75's. the DJ style earphones will block out most of the sound, but quality is bad, while the full closed headphones do the best, but can b on the pricy side. so lookin for a "best bang for my buck" type of headphone.

eH150's sound fairly good. They're probably the only closed $30 cans I'd want to buy. I do know the Sony V150's are very crappy. The Panasonics probably suck like most of them.

But if I were in your shoes save up another 20 and get something that really does sound good unless you need these really bad. (i.e. you don't have anything but a $10 Wallyworld set, or something of that nature) This is because there's a big difference betwee nthe closed cans you can get <$40 and the closed cans you can get <$70.
