Well another way to know is if the engineers that made the DAP (like THE people that knows the ins and outs of the device) say you don't need to burn in, then you'll more than likely enough to not need any burn in.

Believe in burn in or not, Sony recommends it for each of the connections.

Only if the test is done on a much bigger sample size then sure. And even then, I have doubts that the changes found will be the make or break reason to get a DAP

Yes, you can also have different referencing points too. Like zx300, WM1A, and WM1Z....along with ZX100, and ZX2. Again, at the end it is all about a listening preference and the headphones you use.

Yeap. In a hobby where personal subjectivity matters in the end, I'd say "you do you" to them.

Well like I said earlier, I'll trust what the engineers say. If they recommend to do so, then it might be worth doing so.

got mine ytd, so happy to go back to sony for my music

i mostly rip and play flac with the player
is it possible to sort the album order by release date(poweramp has this function)?
it bothers me a lot

btw the android system runs much more smoothly and reliable than players from fiio and hiby tht i owned

you can sort by date you copied into folder, Newest to Oldest only

Album
Artist
Genre
Folder
Newest to oldest
Playlist
HI Res

Swipe left with your finger:
Release Year
Composer

ZX507 is not an ideal player to use exclusively with music streaming services, the processing power is too weak to run the app, I primarily use Qobuz and its so slow.
