Hello.
I just ordered a 507 from Korea to get around the eu volume cap, but one friend said that even the Korean ones are capped? Is that true? I tought it was only the eu ones.
If true then its bad news. I really dont want it then. And I cant even cancel the order
Based on the manual nope there is none volume cap.

@CoCostanza bought his device in korea and can tell us soon if that was a good decision or not

yes you can purchase one like from Amazon Japan and during the payment already the local national taxes were added so none stress with customs or other fees and get it delivered straight at home

I returned the version purchased from Amazon due to volume cap and privately imported the device from South Korea (in August 2021). It cost me €622.53 including import fee and DHL fee to Germany. The delivered device has no volume cap

Walkman OS players only have a volume cap if they are bought in EU - even inside the firmware, there's a cap available only for EU players. Maybe it's the same for the Android ones as well, especially given that they use the same different region thing.

I just got the ZX507 also, and so far it's a great player. I also have the Fiio M11+ LTD, and so far I'm liking the Sony a little more. Yeah the Fiio has more power but, maybe I'm just liking the Sony sound idk. I'm enjoying it.

Will say the battery life streaming is not good. But using it with a micro SD card, the battery life is a lot better.

Been using CA Mammoths, 7hz Timeless, and MD Kato with it.
Are you still enjoying the 507? I also own the zx507 and m11plusltd. I'd like to keep just one of them, and I thought it would be the fiio, but the Sony is so enjoyable.

I am really enjoying the Sony ZX507, and have barely touched my M11+ LTD. I also just got a decent deal on the Sony WM1A. So I'll be posting the M11 up in the classified soon.

switching from Gboard to microsoft keyboard and turning OFF Google app both are crucial for boosting the performance of system (smooth and snap response)
however, it appeared that without google app I cant use voice type with microsoft keyboard on my samsung phone, thus u can switch off notifications of google app, and everything that can be switched off within that app. looks like it's ok.
google app on my zx507 is OFF since 2020 I believe. keyboard - just recently.

Can you compare the sound of the ZX507 and the M11+ and may be the WM1A? Thank you.

The new WM1A/Z M2 has an USB DAC mode, as well as a Battery Care function.

They seem to use a slightly better SoC from NXP - ZX500/A100 also use a NXP SoC - though I don't think that it's really a big improvement over the ZX500/A100 one.
