Sony NW-ZX300

I've got the DX200, Hiby R6 and FiiO X7 Mark II in addition to the ZX300. I'm using the Flares Gold, which means SE 90% of the time.

I find that I preferred the DX200 by a smidge over the ZX300. I'm still evaluating the Hiby R6, so no opinion yet. I prefer the ZX300 over FiiO with AM3A, but I've yet to test the AM3B. That said, I still think the ZX300 is excellent. Enjoy your Laylas and ZX300!
I had switched back to DX200 many times, always found new issue. Guess I have bad luck with DX200. However, its a really great dap. Spacious, awesome resolution, transparent, and fluid UI. I have been finding new daps that have less bugs and solid UI.

After I had Fiio X7ii, Hiby R6, AK70ii, now I have ZX300. Pretty much I'm satisfied with the SQ even though need to burn in and I havent try the balanced output.

I have Cowon Plenue R coming in few weeks. Will post comparison :)

Balanced out is quite a step up from SE out. This dap has the most notable improvement from SE to balanced from any other I've tried.

Not only is there more power, but the stage is very wide and everything has much more space to breathe as it were. Detail and dynamics are also better- probably because of the bigger stage and increased power.

The first thing I noticed when I used balanced was how stuff was spread out more than SE. Anyways didn't mean to ramble on, (zepp) but this is the first player that using the balanced out really changed the sound sig.

Good stuff!

Will the ZX300A model be showing up from US sellers anytime soon?
The Zx300A seems is to be a more china specific model and is not even available in SE Asians markets.

Only if some us seller import it, but then the price will be inflated, so you might as well get the normal version.

I’d be curious how it compares Plenue R. I’d been tossing up between the ZX300 and Plenue R. Where I live there’s no way to try before buying, so sometimes it’s a case of having to buy both and deciding which you like best (knowing you’ll lose a bit of money in the process)!

I picked up the Plenue R a few weeks ago. It has nice clear, crisp sound. Good detail resolution and if course the easy UI, true gapless and JetEffect that Plenue players have. But, my only gripe so far I feel it doesn’t quite have enough body, the bass and lower miss are there but just aren’t feeling as fleshed out as I’d like. Maybe it’s due to the relatively low driving power (1.4Vrms).

At any rate, comparisons from someone who has both would be much appreciated :)

Any suggestions for good portable balanced (non-iem) headphones for the zx300? I use my u12 with balanced cable, but i want to try headphones. Price range up to $400

Thanks

Any headphone with a detachable cable? The only one that comes with the 4.4 balanced is the HD660 AFAIK.
