I normally don't use EQ but if I have to I would EQ out the peaks of the grado around 2khz and at the treble region. Same with the others, just look for where you think they need less or more of something and start from there.

Yes.
Just tested it, player off then straight back on, track time remembered.

Sorry dude it didn't work for me but I suspect it's because I put in a card and after rebuilding the database it didn't remember the position of the track, only the track itself

This is my first post here. I became aware of the ZX300 thanks to this very useful thread. Now I am a happy owner; I ordered it from amazon Japan. I want to upgrade my MDR-Z7 cable to use the balanced connection in the ZX300. The headphones already come with a balanced cable meant to be used with the pha-3. Does anyone know if there is an adapter to make the separate L/R male connectors a single 4.4 male connector?

I have the same setup. I got a Moon Audio Black Dragon adapter cable - 2x3.5mm female to 4.4mm male. Not cheap, but their cable are high quality and they can make anything.

Can anybody confirm if the sound signature changes from FW 1.0 to 1.10? What are the benefits upgrading? My ZX is on 1.0. I don't want to be sorry I updated the FW.

Just ordered me a black ZX300A from joybuy, apparently it'll take up to 30 days to ship which is kinda brutal. Guess I have some time to find the right balanced cable tho.

What cases can anyone recommend? I like the design of this one but the single one star review makes it look bad...

What took you so long to decide, don't bother about that case, go for a tpu case, or those slightly expensive leather ones, Amazon Japan has a few available, I'm on a smartphone ATM, so I can't search for you.

Decided to just stick with the PHA-3 for the time being, then saw that price and couldn't say no haha.

Yeah there was also a TPU case there that was my second option but I prefer not to cover the buttons. I like the official leather case too but not paying those crazy prices.
