It works fine but hardly the best sounding one. I suspect that the audio contacts are made out of brass and not OFC copper. I compared that adapter to my DIY 3.5 TRRS to 4.4 mm and it is an immediate sonic downgrade. I made my adapter out of OCC IEM cable, 3.5 mm female TRRS from ebay, and Effect Audio 4.4 male TRRRS plug. I concluded that the plug must be to blame.

If you want something that does the job, there are many available, but for a good quality one, you need that special stuff called "money" and lots of it.

I updated my last post.

Hey, I read something in Hong Kong and Japan forum that SONY suggests user to
use headphone output as a workable substitute for a line level output to your amplifier (line in) or your pre-amplifier (line in).

Have anyone tested this?

Works best with Euro volume removed. Used with my Rega Elex R amp. But I should look for a better cable.

How does the 1000x M2 sound with them? Any different from other Bluetooth sources?
I only have the LG V20 for comparison. The ZX300 over LDAC with the same music files is more detailed, more "space" between instruments and better defined bass. Bass seems to be the obvious difference, others are more subtle.

Over balanced wired connection I would say the ZX300 is in a different league to the V20.

Edit - the WH1000x M2 is a very musical device, like all good audiophile products.

I'm near 100 hour mark...but so far so good. Still need more time for the ZX300 to mature. Will need to report back.
